Mr. Alvan O. Ringer

On January 27, 1935, Mr. Alvan O. Ringer Sr. was born to the parentage of Mr. William C. Ringer and Hazel Steele in Fort Worth, Texas.

At an early age, Alvan and his mother were united as a family with Reverend John Amos Lyons and moved to Terrell, Texas. He united with Shiloh Baptist Church, where his father would assume the pastorship.

Alvan attended the Burnett School System and graduated in the class of 1953. That
same year, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving as a Medic. He was a lead singer of a band that entertained servicemen and women.

After completing his service, Alvan earned an associates degree and L.V.N. certification after returning to Terrell. He would use his skills to work for Terrell State Hospital and Renaissance Hospital. Alvan continued his medical profession throughout the years until retirement.

In later years, Alvan would unite with Bethlehem Baptist Church and under Reverend Rollersons pastorship, serving as Chairman of the Deacon Board for more than thirty years and Chairman Emeritus at the time of his homegoing.

In his Golden Years, Alvan renewed an old friendship from his time at Burnett High School. He fell in love and married Mary Hall Tavares. Their holy matrimony took place on February 22, 2017.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Hazel, his “Daddy”, John Amos
Lyons, and his son, Tilford Young.

Alvan leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Mary, his children, Alvan O. Ringer Jr., Scyvonda Wilcott, Fonda Davis (Edward), Vernetta Young, Tammy Spencer, Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren, blended and extended family members, and many friends.

Ms. Jennifer McShare Scruggs

05-13-1963 to 05-28-2025

Jennifer was the eleventh child of fourteen. Born to the late Rev. Fordie and Mamie Willis on
May 13, 1963 in Wylie, TX. She accepted Christ at an early age. Jennifer received her education in Garland Public Schools.

On November 13,1981, she united in holy matrimony to Aaron Latrent Scruggs. To this union four children were born, one son and three daughters. Jennifer joined Pleasant Hill Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Sammy D. Willis, later she united with New Day Baptist Church also under the leadership of Sammy D. Willis.

In 2007, Jennifer united with Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Roy Lee Willis. At Shiloh, Jennifer was a faithful member where she sang in the choir and helped with the youth. In 2021, Jennifer joined the Lively Stone under the leadership of Rev. Cecil Osborne.

Pinky is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Fordie and Mamie Willis, her son Arthronel
Scruggs, and brothers Fordie Willis Jr and Otis Willis. She leaves to cherish her memories, daughters LaToya and Danielle Scruggs of Terrell, TX and Ashley (John) Carrington of Palm Harbor, FL. Daughter-in-law, Shamekia Henderson of Terrell, TX. Ten grandchildren Jarrius, JaKayla, Brian, John, Jeremiah, Ja’Nielle, Jared, Toi, Jaylen and Harlee. Seven sisters Dorsey (Clint) Hill of Garland, TX, Marie (Craig) Duffey of Rockwall, TX, Willie Mae Rockwell of Lewisville, TX, Patricia Moore of Houston, TX, Wilma Willis, Diane Willis of Cypress, TX and Terri (Eric) Wesley of Rockwall, TX. Four brothers Billy (Altheria) Willis of Rowlett, TX, Roy (Shirley) Willis of Dallas, TX, Glenn Willis of Emory, TX and Timothy Willis of Rowlett, TX. God-sons Neil and DaWonya Tucker. Two very special friends Leroy Moss and Kelly Martin. Special niece Jackie . And a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Throughout her life she loved to sing, fish and cook. One of her greatest joys and inspirations were her grandchildren.

She will be remembered by all who loved and cared for her.

Ms. Rolanda Hall

Rolanda “RO” Hall was born on December 18, 1972, to Glenda Frazier and her devoted
stepfather, Dennis Frazier. As the second of three children, Rolanda entered the
world with a radiant energy that would go on to touch everyone who had the privilege
of knowing her. A true beacon of light and love, Rolanda lived each day with passion,
joy, and a heart full of laughter. She deeply cherished time spent with her family and
friends, creating memories filled with music, dancing, and celebration. Rolanda
graduated from Richardson High School and went on to study at Richland College,
where she pursued her education with pride and determination. She is preceded in
death by her mother, Glenda Frazier; stepfather, Dennis Frazier; grandparents,
Theola Hall and Doris Hall; four aunts and two uncles. Rolanda’s memory will be
forever cherished by her children, DeandraRobertson Celestine (Shaun) and Demarcus
Hall; five grandchildren, Demajia, Shauniya, Shaunell, Shaun, Jr. and Shaunae;
siblings, Rotanda Lewis (Jimmy) andRodney Hall (Zee); soulmate and dear
friend, Tirone Gray.

Mr. Fyndres Denson

Fyndres Denson was born on June 29, 1951 to the parentage of the late Anita Marie Denson and Q.B. Lucky. Fyndres attended Terrell High School and received his GED in 1979. He attended Graham’s Barber College in 1991 and became a licensed barber. Finis worked for Arco Oil and Gas Company and was a barber for 20 years before he began to get sick and then retired. Finis also worked at Terrell State Hospital for 13 years.

Finis married Vickie R. Davis Denson on June 20, 1975. They would have celebrated 50 years of marriage this year. Finis and Vickie have one daughter Fe’Netta R. Denson Miles, one niece, Otish M. Hurd, and one god grandson, Jayden Williams. Fyndres is preceded in death by parents, Anita Marie Denson, Q.B. Lucky, and one sister, Joyce McCullough Hendrelth. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Vickie Davis Denson; one daughter, Fe’Netta Denson Miles; one sister, Charlie M. Hurd; one niece, Otish M. Hurd; one god grandson, Jayden Williams; a special cousin, Charles Hayward; a special aunt, Shirley Gipson; a special uncle, Billy Gipson, and a host of cousins and friends.

Mrs. Shundria Nikkol Jones Brewer

Shundra Nikkol Jones, born as the 2nd child of Donna & Vincent Jones. Shundria grew up in
Terrell, Tx, where she attended public schools and graduated from High School in 2005.

While in high school she was active in extracurricular activities including Tigerettes, Leo Club, Student Council and the Medical Mentoring Program. After graduation Shundria enrolled in Stephen F. Austin University where she graduated in 2011 with a degree in Criminal Justice.

While at SFA her life took a dramatic turn when in 2009 she met and fell in love with the love of her life, Jacory Brewer. They were married in 2015 and to this unikon two children Jaliyah and Jayce, were born.

Shundra leaves to mourn her passing, her loving husband of 10 years Jacory Brewer, her daughter, Jaliyah Marie Brewer, and her son, Jayce Vincent Brewer. Sher also leaves her parents, Vincent and Donna Jones, her sister TaNequa Jones, and her niece Karleigh Wilkerson (TaNequa”s Daughter), one sister-in-law, Terra Deckard, her grandparents, Margie Childers and Tommy Washington, Jr., a large circle of Preacher Uncles, aunts, uncles cousins, adopted nieces and nephews, life-long friends and The Berries!!!

Mr. Charles King

Mr. Charles L. King was born August 30, 1936 to the parentage of Walter P. King and Artisha M. Wagner. On December 24, 1957 he married his soulmate, Norma J. Coleman, and to this union 11 children were born. He is preceded in death by his parents Walter P. King and Artisha M. Wagner, his wife, Norma J. King, one sister, Emma King Spencer (A.D. Spencer), nephew, Curtis L. Ling, niece, Brenda K. King, 3 sons, Kevin King, and 2 older sons.
He leaves to cherish his memories, children, Walter King, Cathy King-Roacher, Lucius King, Rachael King, Torino King, Aleta King, Keith King, Charles King, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends.

John L. Morris

John L. Morris was born, October 22, 1927 to the late Reverend John Willie and Minnie Corene Sye Morris in Arcadia, Louisiana.

John grew up in Arcadia with very limited schooling; however, he was always a very hard worker. His first job was at the City of Arcadia Waste Management. He then moved on to the Lumber Yard in Arcadia. As he continued to seek better economic opportunities, he relocated to Oakland, California where he worked various other jobs. He married Dorothy Combs and parented seven children with her. Children: James Robinson, Mae Francis Williams, and Tyrone Morris. Children preceding him in death were Rev. Jimmy, Ola Mae, Nolan, and Roderick Morris. He is also preceded in death by two brothers, Wilbur Johnson and Lonnie Morris. John relocated again to Garland, Texas and retired from the janitorial department in the Richardson Independent School District.

John confessed Christ as his savior at a very early age and was a member of the New Caldonia Baptist Church in Rockwall, Texas. At New Caldonia he sang in the Male Chorus and could always be counted on to complete repairs around the church. In addition to serving in his church, John sang all around the Dallas area with The Faithful Spiritual Singers, a male singing group. His deep baritone voice will continue to echo in the hearts of many.

He leaves to cherish loving memories: one son, Tyrone Morris of San Leandro, California; granddaughters; La Tonya Morris, Shuaniqa Williams and Malaysia Tyra Morris all from California. Five nephews; Leroy Johnson, Willie Johnson Sr., Wilber Johnson Jr., Aaron Johnson, and Steven Sye Morris. Three nieces; Alice Richardson, Odessa Johnson, and Minnie Walker. Special great nieces Savitri Brown and Alicia Jackson. His memory will continue to be cherished by a host of other great nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Francis Marie Neroes

Francis Marie Neroes, age 74 passed away on March 1, 2025. Frances was born on
September 5, 1950 in Terrell, Texas to Ira & Alma Neroes.

Frances was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church for many years. After her
father passed she became a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church.
Francis had a BIG heart, never meeting a stranger. She was truly an Angel, I’m
blessed to say she was our sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ira & Alma Neroes; brothers, Willie Neroes,
Sr., Lloyd Neroes, Sr., Floyd Neroes, and Charles Neroes, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memories, brother, Edward Neroes, Sr.; sister, Rosezetta

Bre’Keily Devon Martin

Bre’Keilyn Devon Martin was born in Quitman, Texas on January 18, 2006 to his parents, Breshard Martin, Sr. and Naomi Lipscomb.

He was baptized and accepted Christ at an early age. He always had an “Old Soul”. He participated in many youth programs at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Terrell, Texas and Eagle Mount Missionary Church in Mineola, Texas.

Bre’Keilyn received education from Mineola ISD and Terrell ISD. He graduated from Mineola High School in 2024. After graduation he worked as a Contractor while contemplating on what path he wanted to take.

Bre’Keilyn “KeKe” was an excellent Athlete in several sports, but basketball was his overall passion. He participated in several AAU Basketball teams year after year. He received Honorable Mention in football his sophomore year, Second Team All Team District
his Junior year and First Team All Team District in Basketball his Senior year at Mineola High School.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather Perry Lipscomb, Sr. Bre’Keilyn leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Naomi Lipscomb; his father, Breshard Martin, Sr; maternal grandmother, Laura Lipscomb; paternal grandparents, David and Kecia Ramsey; godmother, LaTrecia James; two special aunts, Tamika George and Abryl Martin; siblings, Delexia Lipscomb, Jyatt Lipscomb, Xavien Lipscomb, KeYani Lipscomb, Trevion Lipscomb, LeAnthony Thomas, LeAsia Thomas, Paris Martin, Breshard Martin, Jr, and additional younger siblings and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, cousins and very special friends.
