Mr. Fred Layne Baldwin
April 1, 1953 to September 4, 2023

Fred Baldwin passed away on September 4, 2023. He was born in Dallas, Texas
to Doran Baldwin and Norman Elliot Baldwin, Jr. He was a loving father, grandfather, and brother who spent many weekends attending his grandkid’s sporting events.
He is survived by his daughters, Kristy Work-Self and husband Michael, Melissa Cather and
husband Scott, and bonus daughter in his heart, Miranda Berniard and husband Bryce;
Sisters, Sherri Taylor and Kathy Byford; brother Norman Ray Baldwin, Sr.; A host of grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Breatney Daniel Sheffield, was born on March 30, 1992, to  Tanisha Sheffield and Lasunski My ricks. Breatney was free spirited with a very gentle heart. She was naturally caring and was a people person. She was someone who sometimes seemed if they didn’t have a care in the world. Loving her life and had established her own identity.She just took the day and rolled with it. But bundled up under all that she desired acceptance from others and love as she gave back to those she was closest to. She was a hard worker , excited  that she had brought forth her very own daughter. Breatney is a sister, aunty, and very proud of her latest achievements. Breatney had just begun to accept Jesus Christ into her life and so desired to be part of a better self and seeking a safe haven. Breatney could surprisingly be forgiven at the end of family disagreements. Breatney departed this life on August 14,2023 and was preceded in death by her uncle Marcus Sheffield, aunty Lisa Word law Sheffield and cousin Jeremy Sheffield and a great grandmother Alice Bryson Sheffield. Breatney leaves to cherish her memories: her beautiful daughter Saniqhe Sheffield ,her mother Tanisha Sheffield,her dad Lasunski Myricks, two brothers Gaylland Richardson and London Williams, cousins, nieces and a nephew, along with her grandmothers Shurodia Sheffield and Joan Smith and two aunties Kamesha Sheffield and Keke Smith and host of relatives and friends.

Ida Mae Eastman, a jewel was born, on February 24, 1960, to the late
parents, Willie Lee Lewis and Mary Lee Tovan Lewis both from Vicksburg,
Mississippi. In 1979 Ida met and married Gary Eastman to this union 2
children were born. Ida later met Larry Peoples who she has been with
for 23 years.  Ida was a devoted and loyal employee for over 20 years at Mayberry
Gardens Assisted Living and Memory Care in Garland, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Lee Lewis and Mary Lee
Lewis Tovan, sister, Selia Mae Keys, and brother, Roy Joesph Clavelle.
During her final days, she was surrounded by family. Ida gentle smile was
so beautiful, and she had a heart of gold. She had a smile that lit up the
room. The things that made her happy the most were being with her kids
& grandkids and making everyone happy that was around her.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her three children, Darrell Dewayne
Lewis, Mary Louise Eastman (Nicholas Pringle Sr.), and Brittany Denice
Bailey; five grandchildren, Darrell Dewayne Lewis Jr, Nicholas Pringle Jr,
Princess Pringle, Ken Amare Shaw, and Sernity Ida Mae Eastman; sister,
Julia Mae Jones; brother-in-law, Artis Lee Jones all of Vicksburg Ms, ; dear
brother of Vicksburg, MS, Lester Clavelle (sister-in-law, Doris Clavelle),
the only two surviving siblings, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins
that loved her dearly.

De’Brenese J. Henry was born May 16, 1992 in Terrell, TX to the
parentage of Antwionette Henry and Willie McElroy.
She attended Terrell ISD and Kaufman ISD where she played
Volleyball and Basketball. As a child she grew up and was a
member of St. James AME Church of Terrell, TX. She later joined
The Way of Truth Church of Dallas, TX.

Debra is preceded in death by her grandmother – Mary Ann
Henry. She leaves to cherish her memories, daughter, Kymiah Otunba;
son, Kaceon “Kash” Henry; parents, Antwionette and Willie
McElroy; brothers, Levon Moss, Demontrez McElroy, Horace Frye;
sisters, Ambrisha Williams, Alyssa Williams; uncle, Ernest Frye;
grandfather, Horace Frye Sr.; grandparents, Sammy and Mary

He was preceded in death by his parent, Eddie Kennedy, Sr.

Ruby Mae Shaw was born in April 1929 to the late Mr. Elmer Washington and Mrs. Willie Lee Gabriel Washington in Palmer, Texas. She finished Callahan Elementary School in Palmer and completed four high school years at G .W. Carver High School in Ennis, Texas. She attended and finished Wiley College in Marshall, Texas, and received her Master of Education Degree from Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas. She taught in Palmer Independent School District for three years before marrying E. P. Shaw, Assistant Principal for Terrell Independent School District. Ruby continued to teach second grade in Palmer, Texas, ten years after her marriage. In the fall of 1963, she was employed for Terrell Independent School District and taught there twenty-seven years. After retirement, she taught as a substitute teacher for many years as well as volunteered at Ritter C. Hulsey Public Library as a tutor. She was instrumental in founding the Gabriel Family Foundation, a 501(c)(3) established to enhance the lives of youth and adults through scholarship and education. Her commitment to education was felt throughout the community. This includes work she and her husband E. P. Shaw did in support of Wiley College through active participation in the Wiley College Alumni Association. Ruby joined Qualls Chapel UMC in Ferris, Texas at an early age. Later in life she joined Warren Chapel UMC in Terrell, Texas where she served in various capacities during her 71 years of service. Her lifelong commitment to faith and education inspired her involvement in the United Methodist Women and support of its reading program.

She was married to E.P. Shaw for 67 years, who preceded her in death. Ruby’s two brothers, Albert Louis Washington and Joe Weldon Washington, also preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memories, step-daughter, Anne Lister(Robert), Dallas; step-son Gary Shaw, Orange County, California; nephews Gerald Washington, Rod Washington (Cheryl), Greg Washington (Judith), Ollie Griffin (Linda); nieces Wanda Giddings (Michael), Pam Washington, Francine Coleman (Carl). Sister-in-law Lula Mae McGowan (Cleao); sisters, Willie Mae Simpson and Nina Simon; God daughter, Kiera Walker and a host of step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

December 20, 1946 – July 10, 2023

Mrs. Peggy Louise Bryant was born December 20, 1946, in Terrell, Texas. She was the daughter of Willie T. Kennedy Sr. and Neatha M. Cathcart. She united with Shiloh Baptist Church in Terrell at a young age. She later united with New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully until her health failed.

She was a long-time member of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a senior Usher, a member of the Culinary and Women’s ministry.

Peggy graduated from Burnett High School in 1965. She retired from Baylor at Garland after thirty-plus years as an X-Ray Supervisor.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to Thomas E. Bryant Jr. on October 14, 1966. To this union, two children were born.

Peggy was preceded in death by her mother, father, three brothers, and two sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Steve Bryant (Becky), and Eric Bryant (Karyn); bonus daughter, Rosalinda Henson (Jimmy); six grandchildren, Demetria, Andrea, Jordan, Anesha, DeUndre, and Jacory; five great- grandchildren, Amaya, JaVeion, Kehlani, Dominic, and Camila; one brother, Carl Kennedy; two sisters, Jannette Brumsey, Annette Accomando(Michael); one aunt, Joyce Owens; extended family, Larry Bryant (Alisha), Mary Bryant, Diane Cathcart, Patricia Bryant, and Oletha Morrow; a special friend, Andrea Montgomery and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Lillie Marie Henderson Prince White was born February 6, 1920 in Terrell, TX to the late Mose Henderson and the late Nina Flowers Henderson. Lillie Marie had a wonderful time growing up with all her siblings who have preceded her in death Annie Ruth Henderson, Leon Henderson, Turner Henderson, Zelma Henderson, Cleophus Henderson, Jessie Mae Henderson and Mozell Henderson. 

Lillie Marie White graduated from Burnett High School and married Fred Edward Prince in 1937. To this Union, their only child Velma Prince was born. After the death of her first husband, Lillie married Mr. Turner White and remained married until he passed. 
Lillie Marie White loved and cared for others deeply. Her generosity, ways of making each person feel special and her delicious meals impacted her family, church members, the Terrell community and beyond. 

A phenomenal cosmetologist, internationally known seamstress and lover of all things fashionable, Lillie Marie White left a mark on the beauty and fashion industry throughout the years. One of her many significant accomplishments was being a graduate of  the Madam C.J. Walker’s School of Cosmetology. 

As an entrepreneur, Lillie Marie White served in excellence as a mentor who provided unbiased knowledge to whomever sought her guidance. 

Lillie Marie White was an honorable, virtuous, strong, responsible, accountable, intelligent and wise woman of God who was preceded in death by many whom she adored including her baby girl Dr. Velma Prince Smith. Left to cherish her memory are: Dr. Roscoe C. Smith (Velma); her granddaughters, Robbie S. Redmon (Christopher) and Minister Jacquelyn Smith (Pastor Cecil T. Smith,II) and a host of great, great-great and even great-great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, church members and more.

Cecelia Marie Willie was born September 9, 1946 in Terrell, Texas to the parentage of the late Leroy Brumsey, Sr. and Ellarine Blue Brumsey.
She graduated from Burnett High School in 1964 and attended Bishop College. Cecelia was united in marriage to James Charles Willie January 6, 1969.

Cecelia worked at the Terrell State Hospital as a mental health worker and worked at Terrell ISD until retirement. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Cecelia accepted Christ at an early age.

Cecelia was preceded in death by her husband James Charles Willie, her parents Leroy Brumsey Sr and Ellarine Blue Brumsey, Siblings Henry Arthur “Sonny,” Leroy Brumsey Jr., Glenn Brumsey, Mary Louise Brumsey King, and Brenda Brumsey.

She leaves to cherish her memories, daughters Paula Willie and Felicia Willie; one son Carlos Willie; five grandchildren, Dejuanna Willie, Devona Ray (Brandon), Demaris Langley, Axel James Herron, and Ja’kiyah Lanae Speck; two great-grandchildren, Dquavion Jackson, and Brandon Ray Jr.; brother, Carlton Brumsey; sisters, Sarah Brumsey and Lynnette Brumsey, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
